SOCIAL PROBLEMS

As we all know that Pakistan was established in 1947 but since its inception it has been surrounded by many crucial problems like poverty, literacy, terrorism, child labour, and load shedding.

POVERTY:
According to analysis conducted by Pakistani officials shows that the poverty has been increased from 30% to 40%.Consider if 40% of the population earns their life below the poverty line they are deprived from the basic necessacities such as food, shelter, clothing and medication.

SOLUTION:
• The govt. should have to take first step to reduce the gap between the rich and poor peoples.
• Provide free educations and free health care facilities

LITERACY:
Literacy rate in Pakistan is about 50% means that half of the population is illiterate. Literacy means that the people who have age around 15yrs and above who can “read” and “write” but those people who are literate that they cannot meet the standard of technological oriented world.

SOLUTION:
• Provide free education at primary basis.
• Creative and classroom supportive writing workshops for students in grades 2 – 8,

TERRORISM:
Pakistan facing terrorism since 9/11 attack. After the Iraq, Afghanistan Pakistan is now become the third ranked country where the bomb blast, suicide attacks are happening. The image of our country is supposed to be a terrorist country. Due to this the foreign investment does not comes to Pakistan. Foreign country doesn’t want to invest their money because in Pakistan there is no guarantee of life.

SOLUTION:
• Dialogue is the only way to stop terrorism.
• Understand their problems and solve them because they are from us.

CHILD LABOUR:
Child labour is one of the most common problems in Asia and also in Pakistan. Child Labour is work for children that harms them or exploits them in some ways e.g.
•Physically
•mentally
•morally or blocking access to education
Rural children are mostly engaged in the agricultural sector (74 per cent), whereas in urban areas, most working children (31 per cent) are engaged in the manufacturing sector. Working children come from large families in the low-income bracket. The average household size of working children was found to be eight members, which is higher than the national average.

SOLUTION:
• Awareness must be raised and parents should pay attention to the education of their children.
• Child Labour Laws should be strictly put into practice

LOAD SHEDDING:
Load shedding is now become the worst problem of Pakistan.Government don’t know how much capacity required and how much they are generating. By load shedding the just reduce the gap between production requirement of electricity and doing nothing about to increase the productivity of electricity.

SOLUTION:

• Pakistan should build more dams and should also focus on wind and solar energy solutions. Without that, we are just going to be dependent on others for our energy needs.
• Increased budgets in Wapda should be spend R&D for future electricity growth
• Cooperation with Iran to buy electricity from them when we have shortage
