PLASTIC MONEY SHRUNKS
Times are hard for the debit and credit card sector in Pakistan. The economy is not good in shape and card spend is not at the levels that the banks would want it to be in fact a significant proportion of credit cards are not being used and a result, the market has shrunk from approximately 1.5 mn active cards a few month ago to approximately a million currently. Adding to the problems is the decline in traditional point based loyalty programmers. Cardholders no longer want the tension of having to check their loyalty points or workout their redemption options by going through a catalogue of rewards options because some of the redemption options are not very attractive in the first place.
They should have run special discount promotions for their cards on the facebook pages of their retail partners in order to attract ‘fans’
Introduce convenient way to receive feedback about discount promotions and special offers as well as an opportunity to quickly respond to customer needs.
